I’ve got some good news and some bad news. The good news is I’ve been appointed Chair of USC’s Department of Urban Planning and Spatial Analysis. The bad news is I’ve been appointed Chair of USC’s Department of Urban Planning and Spatial Analysis.

Joking aside, I’m looking forward to guiding this department in new directions over the coming years. It’s a crazy moment in academia, to say the least, but we’re also at a critical juncture to reshape its future. My term begins when I return from Europe later this summer, which makes this sabbatical now feel a bit like a bachelor party.
